ArtrA will generate
reports using a combination of CAD intelligence and the additional
site and project information that has been added through ArtrA's
SQL database.
PROCESS
PLANT & BUILDING SERVICES MODELS
Piping and HVAC models are generally created with intelligent
CAD applications and are attribute rich. The information they
contain can be filtered in ArtrA to produce a wide range of reports
to support O&M activities.
AEC BIMs
ArtrA will 'drill
down' into the information contained in Building Information Models
and 'pull together' information from various disciplines into
a single report.
FILTERED
BILL OF MATERIALS
Accurate Bill
of Materials can be generated for systems, line numbers, specification,
type and area, etc. which is useful not only during construction,
but also for maintenance when parts of the plant are refurbished
or upgraded. ArtrA has the
capability of generating practical reports by intrerogating 3D
models without using CAD; e,g. Report all items over 12”
diameter which are on a long delivery lead-time.
VISUAL CHECKS
A distinct advantage
is being able to check visually that all the items which should
be included in the MTO have been captured for the report. A common
error in creating piping models is to have ‘out-of-spec’
items included into a line such as a user inadvertently placing
300# items into a 150# line. In this instance when an ArtrA report
is run for all 150# fittings on a given line number, there will
be obvious gaps shown graphically where the 300# items have not
been included.
CONSTRUCTION
AND FIELD REPORTS
During construction
ArtrA is used to add new information to a model for snagging,
punching, progress, installation, compliance and maintenance, etc.
The information, which takes the form of tags and properties, is
stored in ArtrA's SQL database. ArtrA
provides the tools which can to filter the information and generate
a wide range of useful reports.
