| SQL DATABASE & CAD ATTRIBUTE LINK ArtrA uses the attributes in 3D piping, architectural, structural and coordination models as a spatial identifier to information held in a SQL database. ArtrA has access to all attributes in the model, although users may choose to ignore those that do not contribute to the process. In fig.2 the user has decided to bring through 25 of the 79 attributes associated with the room object. A list of the 'filtered' 25 attributes will 'pop-up' when the mouse hovers over. In fig 3 the user is selecting which of the attributes will be used for searching, linking & retrieving.
ARTRA SEARCHES ArtrA can perform powerful & meaningful searches on the attributes. Some searches are straightforward such as "Find all 90 minute fire rated doors, or find the cooling water system on a process plant. Others drill down into the information such as find all 90 minute fire rated doors on floor 5, zone 1, or find all instruments on line number 12"-CW-1000-AC15. Standard and complex searches can be saved for re-use to and provide O&M staff with fast access to the models intelligence.
REVIEWING SEARCH RESULTS When a search is run ArtrA will list the matching results (fig 4). When the results are selected they will be 'zoomed to' and highlighted in colour. ArtrA includes several ‘clarity’ filters to show the results colour coded, in isolation or with the non-selected items transparent (5). ArtrA’s searching & graphical filtering of results is extremely beneficial in helping O&M staff to understand in context the complex ‘services’ found in many buildings and process plant.
LINK & RETRIEVE DOCUMENTS ArtrA is a sophisticated document management system with a graphical front-end. Archiver links the documentation, information and data sets in its SQL database to the relevant objects, fittings, fixtures or equipment in a 3D model. O&M & construction staff accesses the documentation by simply clicking on an item, or from the results of a search.
ADD TAGS - DATA CAPTURE Archiver uses tags & properties to add information to the attributes in 3D plant models & BIMs without the need for 3D CAD. An unlimited number of tags each containing an unlimited number of properties and information can be added to a single attribute. This functionality enables construction & O&M staff to convert relatively unintelligent models into data rich models where all the information and documentation, is immediately available.
REPORTS Archiver’s report writing functionality enables owner/operators to access the information contained in plant design and Building Information Models (BIMs) and create meaningful reports. Without ArtrA the information is 'locked-in' to originating CAD system which most owner/operators do not have and cannot use.
THEMATIC REPORTS Thematic management reports can be readily created using the data captured in ArtrA tags. Read more...
ARTRA ARCHIVER ArtrA is a database management application for plant and asset lifecyle management with a graphical front-end. ARCHIVER is the main 'operator' module models where links between the model and ArtrA's SQL databse are defined, established, managed and then interrogated. The main function are SEARCH | FIND | LINK | REPORT
